Perched on a gentle rise overlooking the dam and framed by the rolling hills of McGregor, Aloe Cottage and its charming annex offer a peaceful escape for up to six guests.
From the moment you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by uninterrupted views, the call of Fish Eagles overhead, and the easy rhythm of country living.
The main cottage features a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom complete with both shower and bath, as well as a second bedroom with two single beds and its own en-suite shower. The open-plan living area includes a fully equipped kitchen and a cozy indoor fireplace, perfect for cooler evenings.
Step outside to a shaded patio with a built-in braai, or sink into your private wood-fired KolKol hot tub while the sun sets over the dam.
The annex offers additional space and privacy, with a versatile bedroom that can be set up as a king-size bed or two singles, plus an en-suite shower bathroom. It’s ideal for friends, family, or couples traveling together.
For those who love the outdoors, there’s a kayak at the dam for tranquil paddles, fishing rods for a relaxed afternoon by the water, and two mountain bikes available by prior arrangement for scenic rides through the countryside. Pets are welcome too, so your four-legged companions can join you on your rural adventures.
Whether you spend your days exploring nearby wine farms, hiking in the surrounding nature reserves, or simply relaxing with a glass of wine under the stars, Aloe Cottage offers the perfect base for a memorable McGregor getaway.
Payment of the Deposit, shall be deemed to be acceptance of the Terms and Conditions and secures the reservation.
Upon arrival at the Property, the Guest and his Invitees are requested to take careful note of the Special Instructions. The Guest is at all times during the Rental Period responsible for his Invitees and shall ensure that the Property is used with due consideration, care and respect and in compliance with any rules and/or guidelines as set out in the Special Instructions.
Cannot succeed maximum occupancy of stated total number at all times.
Any loss or damage to the inverter, linen, fixtures, fittings, equipment or movables shall be determined solely by BMG and shall be paid for by the Guest on demand. Upon departure please notify BMG of any such losses or breakages failing which, BMG shall determine same and the Guest will be liable for such losses.
The Guest and his invitees shall occupy and/or visit the Property at their own risk. The Owner and/or BMG shall not be held liable for personal injury or death of the Guest including his Invitees or any loss/theft/damages to the property of the Guest or his Invitees that may occur during the Guest’s stay on, or about the Property, howsoever arising. The Guest hereby indemnifies the Owner and BMG in respect of all claims for personal injury or death to the Guest and/or his Invitees or loss or damage to property belonging to the Guest or his Invitees during the Guest’s stay at the Property.
Any swimming pool situated on the Property, shall be used at the sole risk of the Guest and/or his Invitees who should ensure that children are supervised at all times.
The Guest hereby indemnifies and holds the Owners and BMG harmless in the event of any claim arising in respect of clauses 5-7 above.
Should the Property, for reasons beyond the control of the Owner and/or BMG and
not by any fault of the Guest, be unfit for occupation during the Rental Period then the Guest shall receive a refund limited to the period that the Property could not be occupied and no further compensation shall be paid by the Owner and/or BMG to the Guest as a result thereof.
The Owner and BMG reserve the right to cancel the booking at any time before or during the Rental Period should the Guest and/or his Invitees, in the Owner or BMG’s sole discretion, conduct themselves or treat the Property in an inappropriate manner including causing disturbance to neighbours.
Should the Guest cancel:
11.1. no less than 30 days before the commencement of the Rental Period, BMG will refund the Guest 100% of the Deposit;
11.2. Between 7 and 30 days before the commencement of the Rental Period, BMG will refund the Guest 50%, or
11.3. within less than 7 days before the commencement of the Rental Period, the Guest will pay the full Rental.
Definitions:
“Bank Account” means the bank account, designated by BBB to the Guest into which the payments will be made;
“BMG” means Be in McGregor, its employees agents and contractors, being the Owner’s letting agent in respect of the Property;
“Deposit” means the deposit to be paid in terms of clause 1.
“He” means he/she as the case may be;
“Guest” means the individual renting the Property from the Owner for the Rental Period;
“Invitees” means all family members, friends, visitors and invitees of the Guest;
“Owner” means the owner of the Property;
“Property” means the property under rental;
“Rental” means the consideration agreed upon and confirmed in writing by BMG;
“Rental Period” means the period that the Guest has agreed to rent the Premises; and
“Terms and Conditions” means these terms and conditions which are deemed to have been accepted by the Guest upon payment of the Deposit.
